Fingerprinting
Any Somers resident in need of fingerprinting for State or Local Applications can have this completed at the Somers Resident Trooper Office.  Fingerprinting services are available Wednesday and Saturday only between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm. 

Pistol Permits

Applications may be filled out online but  are still required to be printed, signed and notarized.  Applications are also available at the Town Clerk's Office during regular Town Hall hours.  Detailed instructions are provided with the application.  All completed applications MUST be returned to the Town Clerk's Office for processing.  Appointments for fingerprinting will be assigned upon receipt of the completed application.

Car Seat Inspections and Installation


Somers residents in need of having their child's safety seat properly installed and/or inspected may contact Trooper Petruzzi to make an appointment.  Additionally, two clinics, typically one in mid-spring, the other in early fall, are performed where no appointment is needed.  Please continue to check this webpage for schedule information as it becomes available.

Crime Prevention Surveys


Upon request, homes and small businesses can be inspected to identify aspects that can improve their physical security.  A written report can be made with suggestions that may aid in preventing potential criminal acts.
